By the end of 2025, Norway will give Ukraine all promised F-16 fighters. The Minister of Defense of the country Ture Sandwick said this in an interview with NRK, Hromadske reports.

He noted that some of the aircraft were already transferred and the rest intended to be sent by the end of the year.

“The transfer of Norwegian F-16 fighters goes according to the plan, but for the sake of operational security of Ukraine and within the framework of dialogue with Ukraine, we do not want to disclose how many Norwegian aircraft have been transferred,” said Norwegian Defense Minister.

At the same time, he noted that last year the Norwegian government increased the support of Ukraine’s air defense by 1.3 billion Norwegian crowns (over 112 million euros).

Last summer, the Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gar Star said that Ukraine would receive six F-16 fighter jets from the country.

Recall that in April this year, the head of the European Command of the US Armed Forces, General Christopher Kaokoli said that our country will receive additional F-16.

By the way, on May 16, the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces reported about the loss of communication with the F-16 plane, which performed the task of reflecting the enemy’s air attack. According to the aircraft, there was an emergency on board the fighter, the pilot took the plane away from the settlement and successfully catapult.
