Explosion in Dnipro: the court took the suspect into custody

The court took into custody the suspect in the explosion in the center of Dnipro, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported in a telegram.

At the request of the prosecutor’s office, a preventive measure was chosen for him – detention without determining the amount of bail for a period of 60 days.

In the center of Dnipro, on the afternoon of December 14, an explosion occurred near the building of the TCC and JV. As a result of the explosion, one person died, four others were injured, including two policemen. Later, the security forces announced the arrest of a 37-year-old local resident who, according to them, planted the explosives.

The law enforcement officers informed the man that he was suspected of committing a terrorist act that resulted in the death of a person (Part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The police claim that the attacker acted on the instructions of the Russian special services.
