Estonia has imposed sanctions on the Russians from which the EU has removed restrictions under Hungary’s pressure

Details: According to Tsakhkna, against the backdrop of discussions in the European Union, the continuation of sanctions of the Estonian Government “as a preventive measure” has imposed its own sanctions against all persons who were on the list.

“I have decided to impose national sanctions against Cantor, Degtyarev and Ismalova in response to their exclusion from the EU sanction list,” the Foreign Minister of Estonia said.

Recall that it is about the sister of the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov Gulbakhor Ismalov, businessman Vyacheslav Moshe Kantor, as well as the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Michael Degtyarev.

Their exclusion from the EU sanction list has become a requirement of Hungary in order to continue the entire list of about 2400 people involved in violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

Earlier, the EP source reported that the EU Ambassadors had agreed to continue a number of EU sanctions against Russia after reaching an agreement with Hungary that intended to block the decision.

Sleeping sanctions could actually thaw up to 30% of the total amount of frozen assets of the Russian Federation. It was estimated that approximately 60 billion euros of thawed funds or somewhat more.
