Details: The publication reminds that Erdogan, who met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky last week, held negotiations with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs on February 24 in Ankar.

Turkish President also said he supports US President Donald Trump’s initiative to end the Russian-Ukrainian war.

“In principle, we congratulate Mr. Trump’s desire to finish the war through negotiations. But here it is impossible to neglect an important moment. The path to a fair and long peace can be opened only by means of an equation in which all the relevant parties are represented,” Erdogan emphasized.

Prehistory:

  • Last week, Erdogan stated that Ankara continues to support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against the backdrop of talking about potential negotiations about “peace”.
  • Erdogan also believes that Turkey is the best place to talk about peace in Ukraine.
