EP: Hungary and Slovakia tried to exclude six Russians from EU sanctions

EU personal sanctions against Russia’s aggression against Ukraine were agreed, including six Russians, the exclusion of which was achieved by Hungary and Slovakia; However, some other persons were expelled from the list for “technical” reasons.

Then the names of the former head of one of the largest producers of mineral fertilizers “Europe” Vladimir Rashevsky, the sister of the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov Gulbakhor Ismailova, businessman Vyacheslav Mostor, as well as the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Mikhail Degtya were excluded from the EU sanctions lists.

Their exclusion from the EU sanction list has become a requirement of Hungary in order to continue the entire list of about 2400 people involved in violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
