Due to the shelling of Sumy region, the Russian troops were injured by two civilians – the prosecutor’s office

Russian army She fired at the border in Sumy region. Two civilian men aged 35 and 37 have been affected by the injury, the District Prosecutor’s Office reports.

According to the investigation, on March 13, at about 10:00, the Russian troops opened fire on the village of Belovov of the Hotin community. Both wounded men were hospitalized.

The prosecutor’s office qualifies this shelling as a military crime under Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war). Currently, investigators of the Sumy District Police Department, together with law enforcement officers, document the effects of the impact.

Russian military regularly from various weapons – UAVs, missiles, booths, RSSUs – attacked Ukrainian regions.

The Russian leadership denies that during a full -scale war, the Russian army causes purposeful strikes in the civilian infrastructure of cities and villages of Ukraine, killing civilian populations and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful.
