“Russia again attacked energy. Yesterday the enemy hit the DTEK’s enrichment factory in Donetsk region. The building is destroyed. The equipment is seriously damaged. Colleagues who worked on the change were survived. Rescuers tamed the fire, ”the message reads.
DTEK noted that this is not the first large -scale Russian attack on this enterprise, which provided coal with thermal generation of Ukraine.
“The work of the factory is now completely paralyzed. Its enrichment capacity is unsuitable for work, ”the message reads.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that on the night of August 27, “purposeful devastating blows” of the Russian Federation suffered objects of energy and gas transport systems in six regions of Ukraine, in particular in Sumy, Poltava, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporozhye. Earlier this month, the Ministry of Energy reported that since March 2025 the Russian forces had made more than 2,900 attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
The day before, DTEK reported that the forces of the Russian Federation attacked the mine of the company, resulting in one employee died, three more were injured.
Russian military regularly from various weapons – UAVs, missiles, booths, RSSUs – attacked Ukrainian regions.
The Russian leadership denies that during a full -scale war, the Russian army causes purposeful strikes in the civilian infrastructure of cities and villages of Ukraine, killing civilian populations and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply.
Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful.
