It is reported that heavy snowfall, up to 20 meters per second, –10 degrees and almost zero visibility, which “almost became fatal for three men from Kiev” were observed in the area. Two of them are minors.
“Two 17-year-old boys planned to go through the spring route to Pip Ivan Chernogorsky, but got into winter badge. Thanks to the signal from the point RA-037 and the rapid coordination of rescuers of Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathia, they were brought to a safe place. There was no injury, ”the message reads.
Another tourist is a 38-year-old man who left Vorokhta three days ago in the direction of Pip Ivan Chernogorsky Mountains and lost his orientation in the saddle area through snow and fog:
“In the coordination of Bukovina and Carpathian rescuers found a tourist with hypothermia and frostbite. After first aid, it was handed over to the doctors. ”
The SES warns that difficult weather conditions are ongoing in the mountains, and calls for refrain from hiking to improving the weather: “Keep track of forecasts and do not underestimate the power of nature.”
Earlier, rescuers warned of frost and low visibility of stay in the mountains, which “is a serious danger.”
