In Rostov-on-Don, as a result of a drone attack on the night of January 14, one person was killed and four others, including a four-year-old child, were injured, the head of the region Yuriy Slyusar said.

According to him, all the victims were taken to the hospital in a moderate condition. In addition, as Slyusar wrote, in one of the apartments that caught fire after the drone attack, rescuers found a dead man in a high-rise residential building while clearing the rubble.

According to the governor, the air attack was repulsed in 10 cities and districts of the region – Rostov itself, as well as Novocherkassk, Volgodonsk and other settlements.

In the western industrial zone of Rostov, industrial and warehouse buildings caught fire due to the attack. Telegram channels write about a fire at a local oil depot.

After the start of a full-scale invasion of Russia, various objects on the territory of the Russian Federation are subjected to airstrikes. Most often, in 2024 and 2025, oil refineries (refineries) became the target of attacks. Russian objects in the occupied territories of Ukraine are also hit.

Most of the attacks were confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stating that the Defense Forces of Ukraine “systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation forces, as well as at forcing the Russian Federation to stop armed aggression against Ukraine.”
