“As a result of the attack of the Russian Federation, carried out on the object of critical infrastructure, the traffic on the highway Odesa – Reni has been suspended. We recommend that citizens refrain from traveling in this direction until the situation stabilizes,” the message reads.
Earlier today, Oleg Kiper, the head of Odesa OVA, reported that traffic on the Odesa-Reni highway was temporarily stopped in both directions.
Kiper also reported that the Russian military attacked a civilian car that was moving across a bridge in the Odesa region, as a result of which a woman was killed and three children were injured. The head of the OVA asked drivers to refrain from driving towards the bridge in the area of the Dniester estuary near the village of Mayaki. According to the regional authorities, the Russian army has already attacked this area three times.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
