In the Chernihiv region, the evacuation of residents of the border community of Semenivska, which is under constant shelling by Russian troops, continues. In three days, more than 50 people were evacuated by the humanitarian mission of Prolisok.
This was announced by the head of the Prolisok humanitarian mission Yevhen Kaplin.
On Saturday, 24 people were evacuated from the community, including 4 children and 10 residents with reduced mobility.
Transportation was carried out by medical transport, escort was provided by doctors.
All evacuees are housed within Chernihiv region: with relatives or in centers for temporary residence of internally displaced persons.
According to the head of the humanitarian mission Yevgeny Kaplin, the evacuees received housing in hostels and modular towns in Chernihiv. The evacuation process is organized free of charge.
An evacuation flight to Chernihiv was also carried out on Friday.
On Thursday, another 27 residents were taken out of Semenivka, including those who applied for help through local authorities.
The city of Semenivka is located just 10 km from the border with Russia and has been regularly shelled since the beginning of the large-scale invasion. As of September 2023, the population of the city was about 5,600 people.
