“Donation” for 7 million: it became known why the SBU came with searches to the metropolis of the UOC MP

Law enforcement officers found that the rector of the religious community in the village of Protsiv, Boryspil district in Kyiv region, in conspiracy with a relative, illegally seized religious premises of almost 500 m².

Subsequently, the fake protocol, together with other documents, was submitted to a private notary. On this basis, a donation of the property in favor of the Sister of the abbot was concluded. Thus, the attackers illegally “privatized” the religious community buildings worth over UAH 7 million. ”

Details: According to the UP, the person involved in the case is the rector of the St. Michael’s Temple of the UOC-MP in the village of Protsiv, Archimandrite Theognost (in peace Vladimir Yurash).

Investigators, under the procedural leadership of the Boryspil District Prosecutor’s Office, reported this rector about suspicion of the fractures of the property (the building of the temple and its commercial premises) in particularly large amounts and official forgery (Part 5 of Article 191 and Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre -trial investigation is ongoing.
