Distance learning and working: the government recommends reviewing the working conditions of institutions due to the weather

Due to worsening weather conditions, the government recommends temporarily stopping the educational process in face-to-face format, and OVAs should work out the issue of transferring the work of enterprises, institutions and organizations to remote mode.

Direct speech: “The MES together with other central bodies of executive power, regional and Kyiv city military administrations should urgently work out the issues regarding: temporary suspension of the educational process in face-to-face format and transition to distance learning or extension of the winter vacation at least until January 19, 2026.”

“Decisions will be made immediately, taking into account the conclusions of the TEB and NA commissions and the real situation in the regions”, – explains the Prime Minister.

The regional and Kyiv city military administrations, together with the TEB and NS commissions, were recommended to work out the issue during the period of worsening weather conditions transferring the work of enterprises, institutions and organizations to remote mode, taking into account the situation in each region.

However, these recommendations do not apply to critical infrastructure objects and other subjectsfor whom remote work is inadmissible under martial law.

• January 8 pResident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that the government will prepare a decision during dangerous weather conditions to allow people who do not work in critical institutions to work from home.
