The parliamentarian emphasized that one of the negative phenomena in the work of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation was the lack of information.
“The Ukrainian Parliament is quite closed in the work of the Conciliation Council, in the work of the committees. For example, our committee does not broadcast the meeting. This should not be the case. You should watch our meetings. For us, deputies, this is also a problem. For example, one of the problems that, I hope we’ll find out what we’re going to vote for in the morning. I don’t know if you’ve seen the number of laws that pass in a day. But if you want to read properly, it’s hard. And that’s why amendments are being made, conditionally, to No. 6013 on the cancellation of fines under the military contract. And because objectively no one read it at that time,” Zheleznyak believes.
According to him, there was no such level of secrecy of information in the parliament of the last convocation.
“When Andriy Parubiy was the speaker, at 18:00 I, a people’s deputy, could see what we were voting for tomorrow,” he added.
