Details: On the outskirts of the settlement of Mizhhirya, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment stopped a minibus with numbers of capital registration. In the vehicle, there were two men who, as it turned out, had nothing to do with medical staff.

Law enforcement officers also found that the driver – a resident of Kyiv region, equipped a regular civilian car for a specialized medical car and, under the guise of “Medbrat” intended to deliver the passenger to the border. For such a trip, the Dnipro resident agreed to pay $ 2.5 thousand. For another 8,000 euros, he had to be transferred to Romania.

With regard to the passenger, the border guards have issued documents of the administration under Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses “Illegal Crossing or attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine”.

The driver detained and announced suspicion of illegally transporting persons across the state border of Ukraine, for which liability in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years is provided.
