DBR reported to the heads of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia about suspicion of crimes against participants of the Revolution of Dignity

The State Bureau of Investigation informs, which reported suspicion of the director of the FSB of Russia Alexander Bortnikov and the Russian Interior Minister Volodymyr Kolokoltsev, as well as their subordinates in the absence of Ukrainian law enforcement officers during the power suppression of protests in Kiev in November 2013 – February 2014.

“Through their subordinates, they contributed to the excess of their official powers, the use of excessive power, special means and weapons, which led to the murder and injuries of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine. By their agreement with the then leadership of the SBU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, groups of employees of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, who participated in the planning of force actions, recommended to attract additional units of “Berkut” and internal troops, ”the statement reads.

In particular, according to the DBR, Russian representatives personally visited the central districts of Kiev, in particular the Independence Square, evaluated the situation and “further adjustments to the plan of force action – prompt plan of neutralizing protests in the manner of raspberry.”

According to their recommendations, a spare command point was equipped in the stipulated place in Kiev to manage operations to combat protests, the message said.

“They also provided the supply of Russian grenades to Ukraine. So from Russia were illegally delivered by hand gas grenades “Dreyf-2”; Light noise grenades “Pet”, “Torch-S”, “PLUMYA-M”; Manual smoke grenades production of the aggressor state. In January – February 2014, these tools were illegally used against protesters. The dispersal plan under the guise of an anti-terrorist operation was implemented on February 18-19, 2014, resulting in killed 13 people and more than 250 were injured, ”the DBR said.

According to the investigation, after the Revolution of Dignity, Russian officials hid involved Ukrainian security forces, gave them passports and positions in Russia.

On November 21, 2013, Euromaidan began in Ukraine. He response to the decision of the authorities to stop the preparation for signing the Association Agreement with the EU. The protests became larger after the onset of November 30 and lasted until February 2014. Security officers have tried several times to disperse the protests.

According to the prosecutor’s office, 2.5 thousand people were injured during the Revolution of Dignity, 104 of them were killed – the majority in February 2014. Subsequently, the dead protest participants began to be called Heavenly Hundred. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, from February 18 to March 2, 2014, 17 security officers were killed in the center of Kiev.
