According to him, the service works in three areas:
“Firstly, repelling a cyberattack, secondly, restoring the infrastructure and dealing with the consequences, and thirdly, documenting this cyberattack as a crime.”
He said that the SBU opened proceedings under several articles of the Criminal Code, including the article on “violation of the laws and customs of war.”

“The main version considered by the SBU is that Russian special services are behind this cyberattack, in particular, hacker groups connected to the GRU of the Russian General Staff,” he said.
The head of the cyber security department added that, “due to the specifics of the work” of the SBU, it cannot disclose all data related to the investigation.
