“The CPD explains that emotional images generated by AI are published in order to then spread pro-Russian narratives”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
The CPD writes that it records an increase in the number of AI-generated images allegedly with “victims” of Russian strikes.
“Such publications have nothing to do with the actual dead or injured. They are distributed by anonymous accounts that artificially build up their reach, and are later used to spread pro-Russian narratives,” the message published in the telegram reads.
“Using AI to create emotionally charged fakes is one of the key trends in Russian influence operations. The goal is to destroy society’s ability to distinguish real events from manipulative content, undermine trust in official sources, and create information noise in which true messages are lost,” the CPD explains.
