In such videos, Ukrainians in Poland are purposefully ridiculed, creating the image of greedy and ignorant people who allegedly “rob” Poles.
The CPD notes that the danger of such content lies in the fact that it is more difficult for users of social networks to recognize it as propaganda.
The Center has repeatedly recorded information campaigns in which the generated “humorous” content was used to impose narratives beneficial to Russia and destabilize public sentiment.
According to the Center for Combating Disinformation, the current campaign is aimed at discouraging Ukrainians and Poles, discrediting Ukrainian refugees and lowering the level of public support for Ukraine.
The CPD also draws attention to the fact that this wave coincides with the general increase in the number of anti-Ukrainian messages in the Polish-speaking segment of social networks, which the Center reported earlier.
We will remind:
- December 22 Pthe border service of Poland reported thatas many as 180 foreigners left Poland during December 15-21 based on the decision to return, including Ukrainians.
- At the beginning of December, an organized criminal group involved in the illegal legalization of the stay of foreigners was liquidated in Poland, and among those arrested was a Ukrainian.
- The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, commented on his attitude towards Ukrainian refugees and their contribution to the Polish economy.
