As the SAP press service reports, Klymenko made such a decision on the basis of the report of one of the prosecutors who conducts procedural management in the investigation of a large-scale corruption scheme in the field of energy and a number of other cases.
The official investigation is carried out by the internal control department of the SAP, its conclusions can become the basis for administrative and procedural decisions, the anti-corruption prosecutor’s office adds.

Earlier today, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine announced that it had conducted a “large-scale operation” to expose corruption in the energy sector together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
NABU stated that the activities of a “high-level criminal organization” were documented, more than 70 searches were conducted, in which all detectives of the bureau were involved.
People’s deputy from “Holos” Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that searches are being conducted at “Energoatom” and at the former Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko, who is currently the Minister of Justice. This was also reported by the publication “Ukrainian Pravda” with reference to interlocutors in law enforcement agencies. Galushchenko did not comment on the situation.
It also became known that the detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau searched Timur Mindich, a businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio. But, according to “Ukrainian Pravda”, Mindych left the territory of Ukraine a few hours before the search. It is not yet known whether these cases are related.
SAP does not specify what became the basis for the official investigation. However, according to UP, the first deputy head of SAP Andriy Sinyuk had access to cases related to large-scale corruption in the energy sector. Journalists claim that over the past few months they have recorded Synyuk’s conspiratorial meetings. He has not responded to these messages so far.
