Continuation of the VLK for limited fit: The Council has been registered

A group of People’s Deputies from the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence registered in the Parliament a bill, which provides for the transfer of the Deadline of the VLK limited to suitable persons from February 5 to June 5. Also, Ukrainians who have disability will not need to pass the VLK. This is stated in the Law No. 12457, reports UNN.

Details

According to the bill, it is envisaged that citizens of Ukraine aged 25 to 60 years, who were recognized as limited to military service are obliged to undergo a re -medical examination by June 5, 2025 to determine their suitability for military service.

It is noted that it will not be necessary to pass the VLK to Ukrainians who are recognized as persons with disabilities in due course.

The bill stipulates that citizens will need to contact the Criminal Code on their own to obtain a summary at the VLK, or get it through the “Reserve+” application.

On January 29, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Irina Vereshchuk reported that the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence launched the procedure for registration of the bill on extension of the VLC until June 5 for military servicemen who have restricted status.

Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Fedor Venislavsky reported UNNthat the draft law on extending the term of passing the VLK by June 5 for the servicemen who have the status of restricted status will be registered with the Verkhovna Rada today, January 30. The people’s deputies can consider it by the end of February.

From May 4, 2024, military servicemen who had the status of “restricted” should be held by the Military Medical Commission to establish suitability for military service. The VLK must be passed by February 4 inclusive.
