“Come on there, Ukrainian Baba Rapey”: In Ukraine, they condemned the wife of the military in investigation “Schemes”

The Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv in absentia was found guilty of violating the laws and customs of war and condemned to 5 years the imprisonment of the Russian citizen Olga Bykovskaya, who called on her husband – a Russian serviceman Roman Bykovsky, who participated in the war against Ukraine – rape Ukrainian women. The decision of which is at the disposal of Schemes, the court adopted on March 24, 2025. Earlier in the investigation of the “scheme” identified Bykovsk and her husband-serviceman, whose conversation was intercepted and published by Ukrainian law enforcement officers.

The verdict states that Olga Bykovskaya (in Piniasov’s virginity) should be punished in the form of 5 years in prison from the moment of her detention. Now Bikovskaya is in the international wanted list. It should also compensate the state with more than 15 thousand hryvnias for procedural expenses, in particular, forensic linguistic semantic and textual examination and examination of the recording of Bykovsky’s voices.

Separately, the video version of the Scheme investigation and journalists with Bikovsky, who formed the basis of criminal proceedings, was viewed in court. One of the authors of the investigation Valery Yegoshin was also evidenced in court.

The sentence will come into force after the expiration of the appeal. The investigation in the case was conducted by the Main Investigation Department of the SBU under the guidance of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Earlier, “Schemes”, together with the Russian edition of Radio Liberty, identified the Bikovsky spouses, a fragment of the conversation of which was intercepted by the SBU.

In it, the Russian military communicated with his wife, who laughing, encouraged her husband to “rape Ukrainian grandmothers”. They were a 27-year-old paratrooper Roman Bikovsky, who participated in a full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine and his wife-Olga Bykovskaya, both from the Orel region of the Russian Federation.

In conversation with Radio Liberty journalists, Roman Bykovsky stated that the voice on the SBU’s record was not him. In this case, his voice is the same as on the “films” of law enforcement. Olga Bykovskaya’s voice also coincides with the voice of the audio recording published by the Ukrainian special service. During a conversation with journalists, she reported that her husband was in Sevastopol, specifying that he was treated in the hospital after injury. Where exactly – she said she didn’t know. After that, Olga Bikovskaya interrupted the conversation and dumped further calls. Neither Roman Bykovsky nor his wife was answered on social networks.
