These materials are also used in military technologies such as electronic warfare and surveillance systems, as well as in missile systems and munitions.
Beijing suspended a measure introduced last year that restricted exports of these materials and imposed stricter checks on dual-use goods, including graphite.
As stated in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the suspension will be in effect “from now until November 27, 2026.”
What preceded: US President Donald Trump said on November 1 that his meeting with the Chinese leader at the end of October would bring “eternal peace”.
Trump also stated that he was satisfied with the results of his meeting with Xi Jinping, noting that they managed to agree on “almost everything.”
In particular, the countries agreed to establish direct communication between their armed forces to prevent potential conflicts.
