It is noted that at the ceremony of the start of construction of the road on December 27 in Kyrgyzstan, the country’s president Sadyr Zhaparov said that the new railway will be not only a strategic object, but also a connecting link between the West and the East.
The new China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway corridor will become a branch of the southern bridge of the Eurasian continent and will open access to the markets of West Asia and the Middle East
According to him, the project will contribute to the strengthening of regional ties and the diversification of transport routes, which will increase the competitiveness of the region as a transport transit hub.
Sadyr Zhaparov added that this route will allow goods to be delivered from China to Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia, and from there to Turkey and further to the European Union.
