32-year-old Andrigetto played a key role in Switzerland’s release to the World Cup in Stockholm, where his team lost to the United States. He was the second most successful scorer of a tournament with seven goals.
He dominated the Swiss League and the Champions League in Zurich. In the finale, Dubl Seni helped to obtain a triumph Swiss Club.
Andrigetto received 34.6% of the vote, followed by American goalkeeper Jeremy Swayman with 18.6%. The three was closed by David Pasrtniak – 18.0%.
The other nominees for the award were Swiss Denis Malgin, American Keliton Keller and Canadian Nathan McKinnon.
Andrigetto will receive his award from President IIHF Luke Tardifa in the time and place that will be determined later.

The final six of the hockey players was selected by the IIHF Committee on the basis of their skills, determination, team success and character on the ice and outside the past season. The condition was that the candidate was to participate in at least one IIHF tournament during the season.
The final rating was determined on the basis of votes of 70 percent of the selected media representatives, the remaining 30 percent reached IIHF members.
