Details: At least eight people were killed and 20 injured when a car exploded near the historic Red Fort in India’s capital Delhi, police said.

The publication added that this was a rare explosion in a well-guarded city of more than 30 million people.
According to Federal Home Minister Amit Shah, “all aspects” of the incident are being considered.
Reuters reports that mutilated bodies and the wreckage of several cars could be seen on a packed street near a metro station in Delhi’s old quarter, and police rushed to the scene to provide security and disperse the crowd.
According to Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha, the car stopped at a red light and the explosion took place in it.
