Capital Scandal: Why “quarreled” Klitschko and Tkachenko, all statements and accusations

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, in his address to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, accused the Chief of the KMV Timur Tkachenko of blocking key economic issues and trying to take over the authority of the Main Head. Tkachenko, for his part, called the accusations “empty” and stated that the military administration would do for the people of Kyivans what cannot do the city hall, reports UNN.

I appeal to the President of Ukraine. While you, as the Supreme Commander, focused on the war and defense of Ukraine, people from your tireless environment are engaged in political intrigues. And these processes become critical. I want the people of Kiev to understand what was happening. Today, there is an attempt to unbalanced power in Kiev and destroy the local government of the capital. The appointment of the Chief of the KMVA violates the Presidential Decree “On Military Administrations of February 24, 2022”

He noted that the replacement for no clear reasons for combat generals with a chief who has no military education and experience, raises doubts about his ability to perform tasks in the field of defense, public safety and order.

Also, he said, the KMVA does not consider important documents, including the restoration of homes, compensation to the injured residents, the restoration of infrastructure and others.

This destabilizes city management and poses a threat to the capital. At the same time, he tries to take over the powers of the mayor, the city council and the KSCA, violating the law. I remind you that the military administration is a temporary body that should be defense and security, not usurpation

Tkachenko stated that he considers Klitschko’s accusation “empty” and told that yesterday had a conversation with him about what to do and what priorities of the military administration.

Therefore, the military administration will do for the people of Kyivans what can not do the city hall. We will solve the problems of the city and help the people of Kiev. Today, together with the people of Kiev, they discussed the work of communal transport during anxiety. Here we are looking for a comprehensive solution together with the military. Usually the safety of Kyivans is in the first place. We also introduce a working group of transparency and accountability, despite the resistance of the city authorities
