Duran is one of the strongest boxers of the 1970s and 1980s. He was recognized as the best lightweight of the 20th century. Many authoritative boxing publications have included Duran in the top 10 boxers of all time.
On the night of December 21-22, in a rematch, Usyk defeated Fury by unanimous decision and retained the super heavyweight championship. In May, in the first fight, the Ukrainian won by split decision of the judges.
Fury defiantly declared that he won both fights against Usyk.
After the fight between Usyk and Fury, Dubois entered the ring to the Ukrainian and demanded a rematch.
It was reported that tennis legend Boris Becker expressed admiration for Usyk and mentioned Ukraine.
The Ukrainian was also congratulated by the former Russian world chess champion Harry Kasparov.
