“The Prime Minister has confirmed that we will provide £3 billion a year in military aid… More funding for the Ukrainian Navy, more funding for drones, the continuation of the Interflex mission, which has trained over 50,000 Ukrainian servicemen to date,” Foreign Secretary David Lammy said in a statement to mark 1,000 days since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
According to him, this year London will allocate at least 250 million pounds of bilateral aid to protect the Ukrainian energy system.
The British government also announced an increase in military support for Ukraine, providing £7.5 million (over $9.5 million) in funding for strike and reconnaissance drones.
Interflex, launched in 2022, provides for the training of mainly newly mobilized and volunteers, who receive basic knowledge of weapons ownership, combat skills, and medical assistance in a few weeks.
