Great Britain and France will do “everything necessary” to support Ukraine and achieve lasting peace, Foreign Minister David Lammy said, reports UNN with reference to the BBC.

This is how David Lemmy responded to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s accusation that Great Britain and the United States had escalated the war by allowing Ukraine to use its missiles to strike Russian territory.

Instead, London and Washington say that it was Russia’s “unprovoked full-scale war” that led to the escalation of “the biggest war on the European continent since World War II.”

They also hold Putin responsible for “the destruction of the global architecture that has been the cornerstone of international peace and security for many generations,” the publication notes.

We will remind

Earlier, the French newspaper Le Figaro reported that Great Britain and France allowed Ukraine to strike deep into Russian territory with SCALP/Storm Shadow missiles. Later, references to this decision were removed from the site’s materials.

After reports emerged that Ukraine had fired British Storm Shadow missiles at Russia for the first time, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov declined to confirm or deny the use of the missiles during a press conference on Wednesday, as did a spokesman for Britain’s Ministry of Defense when asked by CNN.
