Details: The German government did not confirm the information about the arrival of the Ukrainian president. However, the publication drew attention to unusually high security measures already in place in the government quarter and in the airspace over Berlin, which may indicate that such a visit is being prepared.

Members of the Bundestag were informed of “police measures in connection with the state visit to the Reichstag building and the chancellor’s office” and of the restricted access on Monday.
On Thursday, the Berlin police already informed the airports in the Berlin area about the upcoming state visit.
“In connection with the visit of a person who is under the highest level of protection, a no-fly zone will be introduced in Berlin on 15.12.2025 in order to protect the state guest,” the police letter stated.
Such measures are taken only in relation to state guests who are under the highest threat, such as the presidents of the USA or Ukraine, the publication says.
It was reported that at the beginning of next week in Berlin, a meeting dedicated to a possible ceasefire in Ukraine.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz invited US representatives to join the meeting.
The invitation came after a stressful time phone conversation on Wednesday between Mertz, Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer and Donald Trump, during which the parties tried to overcome differences over the direction of peace efforts.
Trump later acknowledged the controversy, saying there was some noise during the conversation “strong enough words”, highlighting the differences over the approach supported by the US.
