Details
It is noted that the Biden administration still has more than 6.5 billion dollars left, which allows the US Department of Defense to transfer weapons and equipment to Ukraine from its own stockpiles.
According to the publication, the Pentagon has reached the limit of weapons that it can send to Ukraine every month, and is currently facing logistical problems in the delivery of weapons.
The US administration will probably not have time to use the 6.5 billion dollars allocated for military aid to Ukraine before the end of the current presidential term. As the WSJ writes, officials and Congress may leave the final decision on the use of these funds to President-elect Donald Trump, whose inauguration will take place on January 20, 2025.
We will remind
As I wrote earlier UNN the Biden administration is strengthening Ukraine’s position before Trump comes to power. Among the measures – permission to strike Russia, debt write-off and new sanctions against a Russian bank.
