US President Joe Biden congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the elimination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen on Thursday, October 17, confirmed the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar after one of the operations in the Gaza Strip.
Sinwar was appointed as Hamas leader after the assassination of former leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in August. Israel considers Yahya Sinwar one of the commanders of the brutal attack campaign by Hamas militants on October 7, 2023 and has vowed to kill him.
