The situation in the Kupyansk community is critical, today 90% of Kupyansk is destroyed or damaged, said Andrey Beshydin, Head of the City Military Administration (MVA).

“The situation in the community is no longer difficult, but critical. The enemy destroys the community daily, dumped by an incredibly large number of managed aircraft, (used) by artillery, RSSV and FPV-punks on the fiber. They are used directly in the central parts of settlements, which threatens ordinary residents, ”he said on the air of the national telephone ..

“Every day is becoming more difficult and harder. Unfortunately, 90% of the city has already been destroyed or damaged, ”Beshydine added.

According to him, today 2700 civilians remain in the community, directly in Kupyansk – 1700.

In October 2024, a mandatory evacuation was announced in Kharkiv region for all residents of four Kupyansk region, including the city of Kupyansk. At that time, the chairman of the Oleg Oleg Synigubov informed that in the Kupyansky district from some settlements to the front line is only about 4 kilometers.

In January 2025, Andrei Beshydin reported that the front line was already two kilometers from Kupyansk in Kharkiv region.

At the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Russian force, Kupyansk was already occupied. But in September 2022, the city was liberated from Russian troops.
