Beh-Romanchuk responded to disqualification through doping

Well-known Ukrainian athlete Marina Beh-Romanchuk, before announcing the decision on her 4-year disqualification for Doping, stated that with the sentence of Athletics Integrity Unit did not agree.

The appropriate post athlete posted on a personal page in Instagram.

“Today I have to make a difficult choice. I can no longer fight on two fronts – for my honest name before the athletics integrity unit and for my future in my personal life. It is incredibly exhausted, first of all, emotionally and affects my health. Sometimes it is important to stop and correctly put priorities.

Athletics Integrity Unit will soon be released, with which I categorically disagree. I refused to sign any documents that required my guilt, because I am an honest person and my humanity and dignity are important to me.

It hurts me that my business was neglected and did not conduct the necessary investigation. I understand that this raises many questions-so soon I will give one big interview, in which I will tell everything frankly, “-said a 30-year-old Ukrainian.

It should be noted that the post was published approximately an hour before the official report of disqualification.

On May 15 this year, Beh-Romanchuk was temporarily removed from competitions due to a failure doping test on testosterone. The doping test was taken in December 2024.

The disqualification period of the athlete will be calculated from May 15, 2025. Thus, the Ukrainian will be able to return to the competition in May 2029. At that moment, the athlete will be 33 years old.
