BEB exposed a group of companies through which funds of American investors were withdrawn, tax evasion during wheat transshipment

Detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security exposed a group of companies that evaded payment of UAH 30 million in income tax during the transshipment of wheat. The companies are part of a holding company that is a resident of the United Arab Emirates and is involved in a number of criminal proceedings and court cases related to the illegal withdrawal of funds from American investment funds. Searches are currently underway at the grain terminal. This was reported by the press service of the BEB UNN.

We are probably talking about the companies “Pista Oil-Ukraine”, “Olympex Coupe International”, “Metalzucrane”, which are part of the “GNT Group” holding, as well as “Attolo Granum”. UNN repeatedly wrote about shady schemes organized by the beneficiaries of “GNT Group”, which effectively blocked the possibility of legal operation of the grain terminal “Olympex” and prevented access to it by its legal owners – American funds.

The BEB notes that companies understated the cost of transshipment of cargo in tax reporting by half compared to the market value. The difference was transferred to controlled enterprises by non-residents. In the future, unaccounted funds were returned to the country through illegal cash-dispensing points. In this way, the companies of the holding avoided paying UAH 30 million in income tax.

“Investigative actions on the territory of the logistics center, the grain transshipment terminal and in the office premises continue. They are actively opposed by the representatives of the mentioned companies. In particular, they refuse to provide information and documents, block the premises and try to hide physical evidence,” the Bureau notes.

The BEB also notes that they are checking the economic activities of companies and others involved in illegal activities, including the well-known under-sanctioned smuggler Alperin. Previously, he was repeatedly accused of illegally exporting “black grain” through Olympex.

It will be recalled that the American funds Argentem Creek Partners and Innovatus Capital Partners have been involved in litigation for several years over the property that belonged to the debtor company Olimpex Coupe International (part of the GNT Group). We are talking, in particular, about the grain terminal “Olympex Coupe International” in the Odesa Sea Trade Port.

A year ago, the High Court of England and Wales seized the assets of the GNT Group grain terminal and Olimpex Coupe worth more than $118 million. And later he sentenced the terminal owners Groza and Naumenko to 20 months in prison.
