GOST for shawarma in 2025 was announced by the head of “roskachestva” Maksym Protasov. According to him, the first version of the State Standard is ready. New public catering inspections will be timed to the adoption of the standard. This is reported by the TV channel “Dozhd”, broadcasts UNN.

Details

It is noted that the first mass inspection already took place in April this year, when, according to Protasov, 27 of the 29 shawarma samples seized were prepared in violation of sanitary and epidemiological norms.

Retail specialist Mykhailo Lachugin notes that there is nothing to prevent street cafes from circumventing GOST by slightly changing the shawarma recipe or changing the name.

According to the information of the TV channel “Dozhd”, in 2023 the shawarma standard was proposed to be developed by the former candidate for the presidency of the Russian Federation, Vladislav Davankov. Then he insisted that all the harmful ingredients should be removed from the shawarma and all the healthy ones should be left.
