They presented an army plan for a long-planned event in honor of the 250th anniversary of the US Army and a recently added element-a large military parade, which Trump has long dreamed of, but which is still being discussed.
The anniversary of the US Army is exactly the same as Trump, which he celebrates on June 14.
Although the documents do not indicate any estimates of value, a parade of this scale is likely to cost tens of millions of dollars.
Expenses will include the transfer of military vehicles, equipment, aircraft and troops from all over the country to Washington, as well as providing food and accommodation of thousands of servicemen.
When asked about plans for the parade, the spokesman of the Army Steve Warren replied on Thursday that the final decision was not yet made.
The army’s initial plans for the celebration did not include a parade, but last month officials confirmed that the army had discussed the possibility of its conduct.
According to the plans, at least 11 buildings and divisions from all over the country will take part in the parade. These include a Stryker battalion with two mouths of Stryker combat vehicles, a tank battalion, an infantry battalion with Bradley cars, Paladin artillery machines, howitzers and infantry machines.
Seven army orchestras are also planned. Documents suggest that civilians and planes, two orchestras, as well as veterans, military schools and reconstructors’ organizations will be among civilians.
According to the plan, the parade will be classified as a national event with special security measures, and the corresponding request was submitted by the National Parks and it is under consideration.
In April, it became known that Donald Trump’s administration plans to hold a military parade with Washington streets on June 14, to celebrate the 79th Birthday of the US President.
During his first term, Trump ordered the Pentagon to plan a large military parade after visiting Paris and inspired by the West until the Day of Bastille in France.
But the parade was abolished due to value ($ 92 million) and criticism, both public and within the US administration.
