Austria allocates 2 million euros to support the “Grain from Ukraine” program, 5 million euros to restore Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, and another 3 million euros to provide humanitarian assistance to displaced persons through international humanitarian organizations. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine following the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiga and his Austrian colleague Alexander Schallenberg in Vienna, writes UNN.

Sibiga expressed his gratitude to Minister Shallenberg for the financial and humanitarian support of Austria.

“I thank Austria for its solidarity, as well as humanitarian, financial and energy assistance. I appreciate the decision to allocate 2 million euros to the “Grain from Ukraine” program. We will continue to develop our bilateral cooperation,” said Sybiga.

In the context of Russian terror against Ukraine’s energy system, Sybiga expressed gratitude for Austria’s decision to provide 5 million euros for the restoration of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and hope for its quick implementation.

He added that the Ukrainian side also appreciates the additional 3 million euros provided by Austria for humanitarian aid to displaced persons through the Red Cross, UNICEF and other international humanitarian organizations.

Sybiga emphasized that Austria and Ukraine are united in protecting international law and restoring its strength. He thanked Austria for its steadfast support of the Peace Formula and added that Europe needs a comprehensive, just and lasting peace.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed special gratitude to Austria for supporting Ukrainian cultural diplomacy. During the meeting, the ministers discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in this area.

The parties paid special attention to the development of trade and cooperation between Ukrainian and Austrian businesses. Andrii Sybiga emphasized that Ukraine will welcome the participation of Austrian companies in the restoration and reconstruction.

The head of the Foreign Ministry wished Austria successful coalition negotiations and expressed hope that the next government will continue constructive dialogue for the benefit of the Ukrainian and Austrian peoples.
