Details: A fire at an electric substation in the west of London left over 16,000 houses without light and forced more than 100 people to evacuate.

The London Fire Brigade reported that a transformer had caught fire at the substation, 10 fire trucks and about 70 firefighters were operating at the scene.
About 150 people were evacuated from surrounding homes, and a 200-meter fence was installed for safety.
Firefighters brought 29 people from the surrounding homes to a safe place.
The emergency services were summoned to the scene at 23:23 on Thursday. The cause of the fire has not yet been established.
In a statement posted on the website of Hitrou Airport and distributed on social networks, all passengers were advised to refrain from traveling to the airport.
“For the safety of our passengers and colleagues, Hitrou Airport will be closed by 23:59 March 21,” the statement reads.
The airport’s pressecretic said: “We will provide updated information when more information about recovery will appear. We know that it will disappoint passengers and we want to assure that we make every effort to resolve the situation.”
