During the inspection of a Ukrainian-registered bus traveling from Kyiv to Świnoujście, the spaniel Jesika tripped over one of the passengers’ suitcases. Inside, they found two zip-top bags, previously containing marijuana and amphetamine,
The border guards noted that, according to the 60-year-old owner of the suitcase, a citizen of Great Britain, he moved the discovered for personal use.
In addition, the joint inspection team found two crossbows with arrows and two rubber clubs.
The border guards sent a message to the National Police about the detection of signs of a criminal offense under Art. 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or forwarding of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale) and Art. 263 of the Criminal Code (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives).
As noted, since the beginning of the year in the Lviv region, service dogs of the border guards have helped to detect more than 13 kilograms of narcotics.
