At the airport of the Russian city of Grozny, where the Azerbaijan Airlines flight from Baku was headed on December 25, but did not arrive, reception and departures were limited in the morning of December 27, the general director of the airport, Alvi Shahgiriyev, said.

“The airport is closed according to the “Carpet” plan, we do not receive or release (aircraft). The “Carpet” plan was announced at 5:08 Moscow time (it’s 4:08 Kyiv time – ed.),” said the general director.

According to Shahgiriev, some flights are delayed.

Earlier on December 27, reports were received about the temporary suspension of work at several airports in Russia.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported that during the night of December 27, air defense forces destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Russian Federation. Five drones were shot down over Bryansk region, three over Kursk, two each over Belgorod and Tula, and one over Astrakhan, the military department says.
