“In connection with the mass missile and drone attack of the enemy, in order to prevent disruption of the unified energy system of Ukraine, today from 7:14 a.m. on the command of NEC “Ukrenergo” in the Poltava region, a special schedule of emergency shutdowns was applied,” the energy experts inform.
After the attack, there is a complete lack of light in Kremenchuk, said city mayor Vitaly Maletskyi.
“Currently, there is no electricity supply in the entire territory of the city. We are waiting for official information about the consequences from Poltava OVA and energy experts. At the same time, the city authorities take all necessary measures to ensure the operation of water supply, drainage and heating systems in conditions of complete absence of electricity. The work of invincibility points for city residents is also underway,” said the mayor of Kremenchuk.
In the next message, Maletskyi added that due to the blackout, water will be supplied to the houses according to the schedule – three hours in the morning and three hours in the evening.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
