Pedro Urrucurtu, who has been at the embassy since March and is the international coordinator for opposition leader María Corina Machado, wrote on the website X on Saturday that armed National Police officers in hoods blocked the streets around the embassy. According to him, drones are hovering over the embassy, and telephone communication has been interrupted.
Omar Gonzalez, another opposition figure living in the embassy, posted a video on X showing Venezuelan police outside the diplomatic building.

“I am warning the world about what could happen to other refugees at the Argentine embassy in Caracas,” Gonzalez said.
