Details: According to law enforcement officers, local residents noticed a drone about 2.5 meters long in the garden of an abandoned rural house and notified law enforcement agencies.

Special services arrived on the scene and surrounded the area. Law enforcement officers thanked local residents for reporting the drone, reminding them that in such situations it is especially important to follow safety rules: do not approach suspicious objects, do not touch, do not move and do not disassemble them.
“We remind you of the recommendation to immediately report similar cases to the police and follow the instructions of law enforcement agencies until the arrival of specialized teams,” the police added.
Commenting on the incident, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova called it a “gross violation of Moldova’s sovereignty” and condemned Russia’s war against Ukraine.
“After the detection of a Russian drone in the Krokmaz area of the Stefan Voda district, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that such incidents are a serious violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova”, – it is said in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The agency emphasized that any drone entering the airspace or territory of Moldova “threatens national security and is a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state.”
“Moldova condemns such violations, condemns Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine, which endangers the safety of our citizens,” the statement emphasized.
The agency also emphasized that in the face of such threats, Moldova “will continue to invest in peace and security to ensure the protection of the country and its citizens.”
