Literally: “On January 26, 2026, the head of the city planning and architecture department of one of the city councils of the Kyiv region was detained under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv regional prosecutor’s office. He is suspected of receiving an illegal benefit.”

He valued his “services” at $5,000. He planned to receive the money in two parts:– 1,500 dollars – for issuing a temporary construction passport dated 2019;– another $3,500 – after the decision to renew the validity of this document.
The official was detained while receiving the first part of the amount – 1,500 dollars.
He was informed of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – receipt of unlawful benefit by an official, combined with extortion.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved. The investigation is being conducted by police investigators of the Kyiv region under the operational support of the SBU.
