Verbatim SAP: “On November 21, the Higher Anti-Corruption Court satisfied the lawsuit of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office to declare as unsubstantiated the assets in the total amount of UAH 4,274,050, which are used by the family of a former deputy of one of the city councils in Sumy Oblast, and to recover their value from state income (civil confiscation).”

Details: According to “Ukrainian Pravda”, we are talking about a former deputy of the Glukhiv City Council Volodymyr Hryb.
The prosecutors point out that during the consideration of the case on recognition of the assets as unsubstantiated, the defendant recognized the claims changed by the prosecutor and undertook to pay to the state revenue an amount equivalent to the value of the unsubstantiated assets, namely UAH 4,274,050.
It is about the property that was acquired in 2021-2022 by relatives of the city council member, namely:
- an apartment located in the metropolitan residential complex “French Quarter”, with an area of 53.8 square meters. m and cost UAH 2,770,700;
- parking space worth UAH 225,000;
- Toyota RAV4 car, 2022, worth UAH 1,278,350.
It was established that the deputy had the opportunity to directly or indirectly take actions with respect to these assets, identical in content to the exercise of the right to dispose of them. However, an analysis of his family’s income and expenses established the impossibility of acquiring this property at the expense of legitimate income.
The lawsuit has been pending since August 2025.
