Details: According to the investigation, a repeatedly convicted man received an offer through Telegram to earn money by completing certain orders.
The first test task was setting fire to the cabinet of “Ukrzaliznytsia” in the Kyiv region. For this, he received 100 US dollars and a new task – to install an explosive device in a rented apartment. For this he was promised to pay 2000 US dollars.
To do this, they rented an apartment in Pechersk for 4 days. According to the provided instructions, the extra person made and installed in it an improvised explosive device in the form of a so-called “stretcher” with an F-1 grenade, which was supposed to detonate at the right moment. The explosion and its consequences were supposed to remove the cameras installed in the apartment.
After that, an unknown woman called the police and said that she had been beaten by a boy. Two police officers arrived on the call, and the woman told them over the phone that the door was open and they could enter. In fact, there was no one in the apartment at that moment.
Opening the door caused a grenade to detonate, but the law enforcement officers managed to run out of the apartment.
The man who installed the explosive device and cameras was found and detained.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, a 43-year-old resident of Kyiv region was informed of the suspicion of committing a terrorist act.
The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention without bail.
