“Diana Loginova, an 18-year-old music school student, vocalist of the Stoptime band, was detained in St. Petersburg on charges of “discrediting” the Russian army. Her performances with songs by artists declared “foreign agents” became a reason for administrative persecution”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
Loginova was detained on October 15. The girl spent the night at the police station. On the afternoon of October 16, she was brought to the Dzerzhynsky District Court of St. Petersburg, which will consider her administrative case. According to the article on the organization of the rally, she may face arrest for up to 15 days.
Mediazona published a video from the courthouse. On it, Loginova is being led away in handcuffs. Sotavision notes that the singer looks depressed, reacts to journalists with irritation, refuses to comment.
According to the publication “Bumaga”, the guitarist and drummer of “Stoptime” are also involved in the case, but they were not brought to court.
The reason for the persecution was a video of Stoptime’s performances on Nevsky Prospekt in the center of St. Petersburg, in which musicians performed songs by artists declared “foreign agents” – Monetochka, Noize MC, Zemfira and Pornofilms. Pro-government activists complained about a street concert on October 11, where the band together with the audience sang the song “Swan Lake Cooperative” by Noize MC.
In the spring of 2025, a court in St. Petersburg declared this composition “prohibited information in Russia” because it “forms a negative attitude towards representatives of state authorities and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.”
