Details: He said that each system now produced for Ukraine in Germany includes three lamp starting installations, that is, medium range, and two launchers SLS, that is, a short range.
“This is the only complex,” the ambassador emphasized.
When asked about Patriot air defense systems and how much Ukraine expects to receive through German support, the Ambassador noted that this number is now changing.
“We first asked the Germans to buy two systems for us in the United States. After a meeting in Ramstin, it was publicly sounded that partners try to find 5 systems. However, we really need 10 or more,” Makeev said.
He specified that 5 or 10 systems are about the total pool of European countries that have undertaken to help Ukraine.
“I think it will be known who has financed. And above all, it is about order, that is, production. However, maybe someone will agree to give the existing system earlier to get a new production then,” the ambassador summed up.
It is known that since the beginning of the German government, headed by Friedrich Merz, Germany no longer publishes information about new supplies of weapons to Ukraine. Official Kyiv also does not disclose the data on the German assistance received.
Prehistory:
- The media seeped information with a non -public list of weapons that Ukraine would like to receive from Germany as military assistance. The list included four new IRIS-T firing installations.
- In June, Germany’s Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that the German side would provide Ukraine with additional military assistance worth 1.9 billion euros.
